Once the piece is formed and molded. it is then dried in the sun.
After the piece is dry, it is sealed with a special red clay glaze and hand burnished with small agate stones.
Next, the individual pieces are fired in traditional ovens where the smoke gives the pieces the distinctive elegant black color
